FUN-damentals:
A Guide for Group Visits to the Sciencenter
Our local Sciencenter, a hands-on science discovery museum for children of all ages,  needed a way to market its programs to teachers.  Many area educators were not aware they could take advantage of special programs for their students as well as teacher workshops and exhibit guides.
As an outside consultant, I worked with the museum education director (and other department heads) to create a promotional piece that was bright, lively, and "folksy"-- and wouldn't disappear amidst an avalanche of papers on a teacher's desk.

I asked a designer friend (Carol Goodling) to create the brochure and give life to my conceptual design, which features the two-story-high Rube-Goldberg-like moving ball machine (the center's most prominent exhibit), with the little balls bouncing down the chute as you unfold the trifold brochure.

Playful type emphasizes the brochure's friendly, informal tone. (Besides, it's always fun to make up goofy titles like "Air Apparent" and "Catch the Wave.")
